Corporate Sports Tournament

Corporate Sports Tournament

A corporate tournament is a scheduled sports competition with a fixture list, played between departments within a company or between companies. We set up the fixtures, venue, referees, score tracking and award ceremony. We run tournaments in five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, bowling, tennis, padel, pickleball, table tennis and esports.

About Corporate Sports Tournament

A format that fits a single day

For a team flying into Turkey, a tournament is often the easiest activity to justify: it starts and finishes in one day, it produces a clear result, and it gives everyone something to talk about at dinner. Unlike a league, it needs no ongoing commitment.

Who this works for

  • Regional offices meeting in Turkey. Teams formed by country or office create a natural rivalry that needs no explanation.
  • A company bringing distributed staff together. Departments become teams; the fixture forces people from different functions into the same side.
  • Client and partner events. A tournament with mixed teams of employees and guests produces a full day of contact that a dinner cannot.

How the day is structured

We do not run straight knockout. In a knockout draw half the teams are eliminated by mid-morning and spend the rest of the day watching — which defeats the point of bringing people together. Every tournament runs a group stage followed by knockout rounds, so each team plays at least three matches and stays involved until the afternoon.

A typical day: welcome and draw confirmation, a short technical briefing covering rules and the injury protocol, group matches, lunch, knockout rounds, final and awards. Photography and video run throughout and the archive is delivered afterwards.

Practical notes for visiting groups

Indoor formats — futsal, basketball, volleyball — remove weather risk entirely and are the safer choice between November and March. Outdoor football and beach formats are better suited to the April–October window. Equipment, kit and medical cover are arranged locally; participants need to bring nothing beyond sports clothing. Referees and briefings are in English for international groups.

Frequently asked questions

Can you organise a tournament for a group visiting from abroad?

Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. Venue, equipment, referees and medical cover are arranged locally; your group needs to bring only sports clothing. Briefings and refereeing are in English.

Do teams get eliminated early?

No. Every tournament runs a group stage before the knockout rounds so each team plays at least three matches. Straight knockout sends half the participants home by mid-morning, which defeats the purpose of a company event.

Which sport should we choose?

For mixed groups, volleyball and futsal give the widest participation — volleyball because there is no contact and mixed teams work naturally, futsal because matches are short and indoors. Football draws the most competitive interest but needs a larger squad per team.

What happens if the weather turns?

Indoor formats remove the risk entirely and are recommended between November and March. For outdoor tournaments a backup date or a covered venue is agreed in the contract before the booking is confirmed.

How many people can take part?

From 16 to around 250. Above roughly 100 participants we run parallel courts or pitches so that no team spends the day waiting; that decision is made at planning, not on the day.
