About Paintball
Paintball is the corporate tactical game with the highest realism, and that has a price: it hurts. A hit can leave a small bruise; overalls, mask and neck protection reduce it but do not remove it. This page does not hide that, because it is the only way to recommend paintball to the right team. For the right team, though, paintball gives something no other format does: planning under real pressure.
Two formats, two different days
Introduction (half day, 10–40 people). Safety briefing, test shots and five to seven short games (team elimination, capture the flag). Designed for a team playing for the first time; it answers "what is it like" in three hours. The programme includes overalls, mask, marker and 200 paintballs per person.
Scenario team battle (full day, 20–100 people). Here the game changes: teams receive mission cards (capture a base, escort a courier, collect resources), missions conflict with each other and the scoreboard runs all day. What wins is not aim but who goes where, who reports when, how the resource (paint) is shared. A 45-minute debrief in the afternoon connects the day to the business context. The scenario programme includes a game master in English, mission design and a report.
Why planning, not aim
In a beginner group hit rates are low; everyone is an equally bad shot. That turns paintball from a skill contest into a coordination contest. The winning team is not the one that aims better but the one that splits the field, communicates, completes the mission before running out of paint and closes a fallen teammate's position. For sales teams, field operations and project teams — including a regional team on an offsite — that is a clearer lesson than an hour of slides.
Field, equipment and season
Paintball fields are outside the big cities: forest and open-ground fields 30–60 minutes from Istanbul (Beykoz, Şile, Silivri), Ankara and İzmir. Transfer from the hotel is in the quote. Overalls, mask, neck protection, marker and paint are supplied by us; participants need old clothes that can get stained (under the overalls), closed shoes and a change of clothes — worth telling a visiting group to pack. Season March to November; rain does not stop the game but a storm does. Some cities have an indoor field option; ask for winter.
Safety
The mask is never removed on the field — paintball's only serious injury is a ball to the eye and the mask removes it; breaking the rule removes you from the game. Minimum shooting distance (5 m) and the "surrender" rule are taught in the briefing. A referee is on the field in every game. A health declaration is mandatory; no participation in pregnancy or with heart conditions. Alcohol is forbidden at the field entrance. The possibility of bruising is written on the invitation.
Paintball, airsoft or laser tag
For a team that says "everyone must join", laser tag (painless, no kit, automatic scoring). For a team that wants realism without paint, airsoft (no pain, hits on honour). For a fit team wanting adrenaline, realism and planning under pressure, paintball. Physical load is moderate: running, crouching and sprinting; the full-day scenario runs six hours and a lunch break is mandatory.
Frequently asked questions
Does paintball hurt?
Yes; a hit can leave a small bruise. Overalls, mask and neck protection reduce it but do not remove it. We put that on the invitation. For a painless alternative there is laser tag; for one without paint, airsoft.
Introduction or scenario?
A team playing for the first time starts with the half-day introduction (five to seven short games, three hours). The full-day scenario has mission cards, conflicting missions, an all-day scoreboard and a debrief; the teamwork lesson really emerges there.
Is a team that cannot aim at a disadvantage?
No; in a beginner group everyone is an equally bad shot. The winner is the team that splits the field, communicates and completes the mission before running out of paint. Paintball is a coordination contest, not a skill contest — and the missions are briefed in English.
Where is the field, and what to bring?
Fields 30–60 minutes from Istanbul (Beykoz, Şile, Silivri), Ankara and İzmir; transfer from the hotel is in the quote. Overalls, mask, marker and paint are ours; participants need old clothes under the overalls, closed shoes and a change of clothes.
Safety rules?
The mask is never removed on the field; breaking the rule removes you from the game. Minimum shooting distance five metres, the surrender rule and a referee on the field in every game. A health declaration is mandatory; no participation in pregnancy or with heart conditions. Alcohol is forbidden.
Which months, and how many people?
March to November; rain does not stop it, a storm does. Some cities have an indoor field. The introduction takes 10–40 people, the full-day scenario 20–100. A full day is six hours with a mandatory lunch break.
