3x3 basketball is not a shrunken version of 5x5 but a separate discipline with its own rules — and an Olympic one. Three properties decide its value for a corporate tournament: it uses a single basket, the squad drops to four people and a match lasts ten minutes. Combined, those three produce a scale that 5x5 cannot.
Needing one basket and half a court means the tournament can be built outside a sports hall: a company car park, a courtyard, a covered parking level or a public square. With a portable basket, a tournament can be run on the office campus and the transport barrier disappears entirely. When two courts fit in the same space, the number of matches doubles.
This is the tournament that comes to you. For a company whose people cannot easily be moved — a campus on the edge of a city, a site with security procedures, a week where nobody can lose an afternoon to travel — the equipment arrives, the court is marked, and the tournament happens where everyone already is. It is also the format to use when several offices each want to run the same event on the same day and compare results.
Choose 3x3 if halls are hard to find, if participant numbers are high and squads small, or if you want the tournament on the company campus. Choose 5x5 if you want a classic basketball experience and a hall event with a spectator stand.

Yes. A half court is built with a portable basket, floor marking and safety barriers. The surface must be level and non-slip, an area must be cleared of vehicles, and a weather contingency is needed. Covered parking levels remove the rain risk entirely.
Four people: three on court and one substitute. That means even a department of twenty can field more than one team, which raises participation directly.
Under official 3x3 rules, ten minutes or first to 21 points. Corporate tournaments generally use eight to ten minutes, giving a 15-minute slot including changeover.
Partly, but 3x3 rules are different: the ball is checked back after each score, the team taking a rebound must clear it beyond the arc, and the game is much faster. Experienced players adapt within a few matches, which balances the level gap somewhat.
With two courts, sixteen teams complete comfortably in a day. Because matches are short, up to 24 teams is possible; at that scale a third court or a long day is planned.
