Company Sports Events

A sports day built around your team's profile, where everyone can take part.

The real question in a company sports event is not "what should we do" but "how many will actually come". We build the format around your team's fitness and age spread and plan a day where nobody sits on the sidelines.

What makes a company sports event work?

An event's success is measured not by the sport chosen but by attendance. The most common mistake is picking the format according to the taste of whoever decides: a manager who likes football picks five-a-side, half the team does not come, and the event is judged a failure.

We look at three things: the team's fitness spread, the headcount, and the reality of location and travel. Those three determine the format; get the format right and attendance follows.

What the day includes

01 Inclusion

Format design

Half day (3-4 hours), full day (6-8 hours) or a station-based festival, chosen by headcount and fitness profile.

02 Inclusion

Rotation and team plan

A rotation where everyone plays with everyone; mixed teams directly increase contact between departments.

03 Inclusion

Inclusive alternatives

An easier alternative and a right to skip at every station; scoring and organising roles for employees with physical limitations.

04 Inclusion

Location and transport

A venue on the side of the city where most of the team is; coaches planned beyond 45 minutes.

05 Inclusion

Equipment and setup

All equipment for the chosen sports, site setup, scoreboard and sound system.

06 Inclusion

Medical and insurance

Medical personnel on site, an ambulance plan, health declarations and insurance cover.

07 Inclusion

Weather risk and contingency

For outdoor events the decision time, criteria and backup date are written into the contract.

08 Inclusion

Participant briefing

What to wear, where to meet, the running order — shared beforehand as a ready-made briefing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a company sports event last?
Three formats. A half day runs 3-4 hours and can sit inside working hours; it has the highest attendance. A full day is 6-8 hours and is needed for large formats such as a station festival, obstacle race or sailing. An overnight programme is one or two nights; its real value is the evening programme, but it has the lowest attendance.
What headcount does it work for?
From 15 people to 500+. For 15-30: padel, bowling, escape rooms and sailing; for 30-80: a five-a-side tournament, obstacle race, paintball and cycling tours; for 80-200: a station-based sports festival; for 200+: a family sports day.
What about employees with low fitness?
This is the main factor in format choice. Archery, axe throwing, darts and boules are skill-based with no strength or fitness advantage. Escape rooms need no physical participation. In a station festival, every station has an easier alternative and a defined right to skip.
What happens if the weather is bad?
For outdoor events the decision time, decision criteria and backup date are written before the contract is signed, along with which lines are refunded on cancellation. These three clauses remove the most common source of dispute in outdoor events.
Do you plan the transport?
Yes. We choose a venue on the side of the city where most of the team is, within 45 minutes of the meeting point. Beyond that, coaches are planned and added to the budget as their own line. In cities like Istanbul we also plan the finish time so the return does not fall into evening traffic.
What drives the price?
Five lines: headcount, duration (half or full day), location and transport, how equipment-heavy the chosen sport is, and catering. Fixed and per-head lines are shown separately in our quotes, and what the quote does not include is written out explicitly.
