How do you choose a corporate event venue?
Four questions decide the venue: what are we doing? (games, a tournament, dinner, a meeting), how many of us are there?, what happens if the weather turns? and how will the team get there? A team game for 150 people suits a large hotel garden, for example, but needs an indoor hall as a rain backup; a five-a-side tournament can be finished in a single day at a venue with several pitches.
The difference between hiring a venue on its own and booking it together with the event shows on the day: when the floor plan, sound system, equipment, instructors, catering timings and backup plan sit with one team, there are fewer surprises. Choosing a venue by event type
Start with the type of event, then narrow the venue type by group size and season. For outdoor venues we always plan an indoor space or a backup date.
