Corporate Boat Events in Istanbul and the Aegean
We take your team from the office to the water for a day: boats, route, instructors, catering and a weather backup, all planned by us.
A corporate boat event is a day or evening a company team spends on a chartered sailing yacht or motor boat: sailing and swimming in a bay, yoga on deck, or a team dinner and celebration on the water. We organise them on the Bosphorus and around the Princes’ Islands in Istanbul, and in Çeşme and Bodrum on the Aegean, for groups of 4 to 150. No sailing experience is needed; every yacht has an instructor on board. Share your date and headcount and we send a formal quote within 24 hours.

How is a corporate boat event put together?
When planning a company event on a boat, the first question is not “sail or motor?” but what the team will do on board. If people will be hands-on (helm, sheets, navigation), choose a sailing yacht; if dinner, a short presentation or a celebration is the focus, a motor boat with a wide deck is the right fit. You choose the format; we recommend the boat.
The second factor is headcount: capacity scales with the number of boats. On a sailing yacht, 6–8 people per boat lets everyone hold a job; a team of 40 is split across several boats that follow the same route and meet in the same bay. The third is the weather: if the wind is not right, the instructor shortens the route or switches to motor, and every date has a backup day.
If your team wants to learn to sail or make sailing the main event, see our corporate sailing page. This page is about a day or evening on the water: a sailing day with dinner in Istanbul, yoga on a boat on the Bosphorus, a non-competitive bay-hopping boat day, and sailing programmes in Çeşme and Bodrum.
Boat event formats
Choose what happens on board first, then the length. The number of boats follows from your headcount.
| Format | Length | People | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sailing day with dinner | Daytime sail (3–4 hours) + 2–3 hour dinner | 4–150 (6–8 per boat) | Mixed ages and departments, reward and celebration days |
| Bay-hopping boat day | Full day: sail, bay stop, swim, lunch on board | 4–150 | Teams that want no competition, first time on the water |
| Yoga on deck | 90-minute session, morning departure | 10–60 | Wellbeing-focused teams, desk-based staff |
| Instructor-led mini skills race (not an official regatta) | Half-day training + short course | Enough people for at least two boats | Competitive, high-energy teams |
| Team dinner or celebration on board | Late afternoon or evening, a few hours | Depends on the boat | Year-end, project close, leadership gatherings |
Sailing programmes run from April to October; every sea format is confirmed against wind and sea conditions and planned with a backup date.
Corporate boat events we organise
Sailing day with dinner
Departure from Kalamış or Ataköy marina in Istanbul, an instructor-led sail towards the Princes’ Islands with a bay stop; in the evening the same crews meet at one table in a seaside restaurant. The dinner goes ahead whatever the wind does.
Bay-hopping boat day
Sailing, anchoring, swimming and a long lunch on deck. No competition, no curriculum: anyone can work the sheets or simply sit on deck. Swimming is optional and life jackets are always on hand.
Yoga on a boat on the Bosphorus
Morning departure from Beşiktaş, Kabataş or Arnavutköy pier; a 90-minute session of warm-up, asana and meditation. Mats and equipment are on board, and no yoga experience is needed.
Team dinner or celebration on board
Boat charter and catering coordination for a year-end party, project close or leadership gathering: route, pier, menu, music and photography planned by one team.
Meetings on a boat
A short presentation, strategy briefing or goal-setting session works well on board, followed by a sail or dinner. For long working sessions we suggest a meeting room ashore and a boat to close the day.
Sailing in Çeşme and Bodrum
Çeşme’s predictable wind gives a more “proper sailing” day; Bodrum’s sheltered bays offer calm water and plenty of swim stops. Both combine well with residential meetings.
Weather and sea backup
A backup day for every date; if the wind is too light or too strong, the route is shortened or the boats motor. What happens in each case is agreed in writing beforehand.
How is a boat event quote put together?
There are no prices on this page; cost depends on headcount (and so the number of boats), length, city, date and catering.
Format and headcount
What happens on board: sailing, yoga, a boat day or dinner? The headcount sets the number of boats.
City, date and backup
Istanbul, Çeşme or Bodrum; a main date in season plus a backup date.
Route and catering
Departure point, route, on-board catering or dinner, photo and video, transfers; the quote lists each item separately.
