Employee Wellbeing Sports Programmes
Not a one-day event, but a repeating programme that builds a habit.
Employee wellbeing is not built by a single event. Short, repeating in-office programmes — stretching, yoga, pilates, chair massage — have both the highest attendance and the clearest trace in an engagement survey.

Why an ongoing programme beats a single event
Employee wellbeing describes how well employees are at work — physically, mentally and socially. Many practices support wellbeing at work; we collected 15 of them in workplace wellbeing practices for companies. This page covers the movement-based programmes among them that run weekly inside the office.
A single day produces a memory; a routine produces a habit. If you want to see movement in the wellbeing items of an engagement survey, you need an ongoing programme — because the employee sees that support every week, not on one day.
In-office programmes have another advantage: with no travel time, attendance is markedly above events held elsewhere, there is no venue or transport line, and they run uninterrupted from November to March with no weather risk.
To turn this into a structured 8–12 week wellness package, see our corporate wellness programmes and packages.
Programme components
Stretching and mobility workshops
20-30 minutes in office clothes, standing and seated. The lowest-barrier format; one to three times a week.
Office yoga
45-60 minutes, about 2 m² per person. A meeting room with the tables pushed aside supports 12-15 people.
Mat pilates
Focused on core strength; the most requested programme for desk-related back complaints.
Chair massage days
12-15 minutes per person, clothes stay on. The highest-attendance wellness format.
Breathwork, meditation and mindfulness
No physical movement; chairs are enough. The most requested format during intense periods.
Step challenges
Four weeks, team-based; the only format that includes remote workers and other locations.
Office championships
A table tennis or darts tournament spread over weeks, played at lunchtimes.
Measurement and reporting
Attendance recorded per session, programme retention, and linkage to engagement survey items.
