About Corporate Events

Short answer: A corporate event is an occasion a company organises for its employees, managers or business partners with a specific purpose: team building, motivation, a year-end celebration, a tournament, a family day, a retreat or a launch. "Company event" and "corporate event" describe the same need. Since 2015, Kurumsal Sporlar has organised company events built around sport and movement, handling everything from setting the objective to the final whistle. We work across 50+ sports in all 81 provinces of Turkey and abroad, and send an itemised quote within 24 hours.

What does corporate event organisation cover?

Organising a corporate event is not just "finding an activity". Fitting the date to the business calendar, choosing a format that suits the participants, the venue and equipment, the flow on the day, safety, and the content you share afterwards all belong to the same plan. The services on this page cover either the sport and movement side of a company event or the whole event, from sports festivals and half-marathon teams to company parties and children's sports days. You can hand the entire event to us, or add only a sports component to a meeting, dinner or launch you are already planning.

Corporate event types by goal

The right company event is chosen by asking "what do we want to change?" before "what shall we do?". The table below summarises the most requested corporate event types by duration, group size and timing. Headcounts are the typical ranges on the related service pages; larger groups are planned with parallel areas.

How do you choose the right company event?

The decision sits where four variables meet. Ignoring one of them is the most common reason good ideas fall flat on the day.

  1. Goal. Communication and trust, celebration, competition and excitement, or health and wellbeing? Team building calls for tasks that require cooperation, celebrations for formats everyone can join comfortably, and competition for tournaments with a proper fixture list.
  2. Headcount. A single workshop that works for 20 people becomes a queue at 200. For large groups we use a station layout, add stations rather than people per station, and let everyone move at their own pace.
  3. Season. Outdoor, water and winter programmes depend on the calendar. Summer midday heat and the closing weeks of early December shape the plan directly.
  4. Budget. Budget sets the scale and scope, not the format. The same goal can be reached with a half day in the office or a two-day residential programme; the quote shows these options side by side.

Where fitness levels vary widely, we favour formats that everyone can take part in, so nobody is left on the sidelines. If you are undecided, the format wizard narrows down corporate event ideas that fit your goal in a few questions.

Corporate event ideas: what is in this category?

You will find each service in detail in the list below. Grouped by the need they answer, they look like this:

  • Celebration and getting together: company parties, year-end events, the corporate spring festival and company-opening sports festivals. The aim is a sociable day everyone can join comfortably.
  • Families and engagement: the company family day sports festival and the employees' children's sports day, planned with parallel areas by age group, an enclosed site and a medical team.
  • Running and endurance: the 29 October Republic Day corporate run, the spring-opening marathon, company running clubs, half-marathon team training, obstacle races and Spartan Race team preparation. Several weeks of shared preparation around a single goal bring the team together well before the day itself.
  • In-office and short formats: functional training, HIIT, parkour and CrossFit team workshops that fit within working hours, at or near the office.
  • Sport added to meetings and launches: team meetings and launch events. An active block sits between presentation and meeting sessions; at launches where guests arrive at different times, stations stay open all day.
  • Seasonal and residential programmes: summer sports camps, sport-inclusive camps, end-of-summer beach olympics, autumn trekking, the spring sailing week, the New Year team-building camp and post-iftar sports evenings.
  • Company trips abroad: corporate tours built around a major sporting event such as Formula 1 in Baku.

What separates a good company event from an ordinary one is rarely the activity itself; it is the detail of the plan: a flow where nobody queues, options for different fitness levels, a ready alternative for bad weather and content you can use once the day is over. Whichever idea you choose, these four elements are built into the quote.

Seasonal corporate event calendar

In Turkey, the season and the business calendar come before the choice of content. The summary below shows which company events work best in which period.

SeasonFormats that stand outPlanning note
Spring (March–May)Spring festivals, family days, sports days, running events, spring sailing weekWidest outdoor choice; watch for public holidays
Summer (June–August)Coastal formats, beach olympics, water sports, sport-inclusive campsMidday is unusable outdoors; programmes split into morning and late afternoon
Autumn (September–November)Tournament and league season, trekking, the 29 October run, retreatsThe most flexible period; September and October book up quickly
Winter (December–February)Year-end and New Year programmes, indoor tournaments, ski and winter campsIndoor venue or winter destination required; mid-December preferred

How does company event organisation work?

  1. Brief. You share the goal, date range, approximate headcount, city and, if you have one, a budget frame. The participant profile (age range, fitness, family attendance) shapes the format directly.
  2. Quote within 24 hours. We send one or more format proposals with an itemised quote in TRY, USD or EUR, so you can see why every line is there.
  3. Site visit and detailed plan. We visit the venue and confirm the running order, station layout, safety, bad-weather alternative and back-up date.
  4. Delivery. Set-up, welcome, instructors and an on-site coordination team, with a single point of contact throughout the day.
  5. Report. After the event we share photo and video output plus a summary of attendance and feedback, which feeds into planning your next company event.

What is included when we organise your event?

Scope depends on the event and appears as separate lines in the quote. A typical corporate event can include:

  • Venue and space: selecting and booking the facility, pitch, beach or hotel; station layout and site set-up.
  • Equipment: sport-specific equipment, set-up and take-down.
  • Instructors and referees: specialist instructors for workshops and experiences; referees, fixtures and a trophy ceremony for tournaments and leagues.
  • Safety and insurance: on-site medical staff, health declarations where needed and insurance cover suited to the event.
  • Transport: transfers from the office to the venue or from the airport to the hotel; accommodation for residential programmes through our TÜRSAB A-12558 licensed travel agency.
  • Branding: logo visibility, station backdrops, participant kits and team shirts.
  • Photo and video: the shot list is planned before the site is laid out, producing content you can use for internal communications and employer branding.

Which cities do we cover?

We are based in Istanbul (Şişli) and organise events in all 81 provinces of Turkey. Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa and Kocaeli are where we work most often, while Sapanca, Bodrum, Cappadocia and the ski resorts stand out for residential company events. If your team is spread across several cities, we can run the same event simultaneously in more than one location or bring everyone together at a single destination. We also quote for company trips and events abroad.

Events for international and multinational teams

For groups coming to Turkey for a regional meeting, an incentive trip or a launch, we run the programme in English and time flights and transfers into the schedule. For scope and example formats, see corporate sports and team events in Turkey for international teams.

Below you will find the corporate event services in this category, each with its group size and details. Share your goal and date range, and we will send a suitable company event proposal with an itemised quote within 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

We are hosting a launch in Istanbul. Can you handle the activity side?

Yes. The format that works is a short presentation — fifteen to twenty minutes, repeatable for guests arriving at different times — followed by experience stations that stay open throughout. We plan and run the stations and coordinate with your venue and AV team.

How do you keep a hundred-plus group engaged?

Parallel stations rather than a single tournament. With one activity most of the group watches; with six or eight stations everyone is moving. The number of stations is set at planning based on headcount, not adjusted on the day.

What is the best time of year for an outdoor company day?

April–May and September–October. In midsummer the middle of the day is unusable outdoors, so programmes split into morning and late-afternoon blocks. From November to March we build indoors or around winter activities.

Can families join?

Yes, and it changes the planning substantially: separate age-group areas, a fenced site with a single entry point, name wristbands for children, constant supervision in play areas and on-site medical cover. Headcount is planned at roughly 2.5 to 3 times the employee number.

Do you provide photography and video?

Yes, and the shooting plan is made before the site layout. For most companies the content produced is the measurable output of the event — used for internal communication, employer branding and social media — so logo visibility, station backgrounds and the group photo point are positioned deliberately.

How far in advance should a corporate event be planned?

Three to four weeks is usually enough for a one-day company event. For groups above 100, residential retreats and programmes abroad, starting six to eight weeks ahead keeps venue and date options open. In busy periods such as September–October and December, allow more time. We also quote for short-notice requests, although options narrow as the date approaches.

Is there a difference between a company event, a corporate event and corporate event organisation?

No, all three describe the same need: an occasion a company organises for its employees or business partners with a specific purpose. The real distinction is scope, not the name. The quote depends on whether you hand us the whole event (venue, transport, catering, programme) or only the sport and activity part.

What determines the price of a corporate event?

The main factors are headcount, duration, city and venue, sport-specific equipment and instructors, transport and accommodation, catering, branding and photo-video scope. Instead of fixed package prices, we prepare an itemised quote based on your brief, so you can see clearly which lines can be removed or expanded. The quote is sent within 24 hours in TRY, USD or EUR.

Should the event be during working hours, and do you organise outside Istanbul?

Both work. Half-day programmes within working hours tend to boost attendance and are easy to run at venues near the office, while family days, festivals and residential programmes usually fall on weekends. We are based in Istanbul but organise events in all 81 provinces of Turkey and abroad, and can run simultaneous events for teams in different cities.
