Corporate Sports League
A corporate league is a competition in which teams from different companies play each other on a regular schedule over a season. As a neutral organiser we run the fixtures, venues, referees and league table. Our five-a-side, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, padel, pickleball, badminton and esports leagues run in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Kocaeli.

About Corporate Sports League
What is a corporate league?
A corporate league is a sports competition in which company teams play on a fixed day and time throughout a season, with a fixture list and a league table. What sets it apart from a one-day tournament is duration: a league runs for weeks and becomes part of employees' calendars. It can be run between departments inside one company or between teams from different companies (an inter-company league). We manage the fixtures, venues, referees and league table as a neutral organiser.
Who a league is actually for
We should be straightforward about this one: a league is a local format. It runs over weeks, on a fixed evening, at a venue people can reach after work. A team flying into Turkey for three days cannot take part in one.
This page is therefore relevant if your company has an office, plant or subsidiary in Turkey — a shared services centre in Istanbul, a manufacturing site in Bursa or Kocaeli, a development team in Ankara. For those staff a league is one of the few formats that produces something a single event cannot: a recurring social structure that people put in their own calendars.
How it works
- Format. Seven-a-side football is the most common because a squad of ten to twelve sustains it. Basketball and volleyball need eight to ten. Full-sided football needs sixteen to eighteen.
- Duration. A six-team single round runs five weeks; eight teams run seven. Beyond ten weeks corporate attendance falls noticeably, so most leagues are a single round plus play-offs.
- Included. Venue booking and a fixed weekly slot, fixtures, referees, on-site first aid, standings and a finals day with awards.
- Eligibility. Players must be employees of the participating company; the verification method is agreed with all teams before kick-off.
If your team is visiting instead
A one-day tournament gives the same competitive structure without the ongoing commitment, and an e-sports league is the one format that works across locations — offices in different countries can share a single fixture list and play online.
Cities
Leagues run in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Kocaeli. Each city has its own constraint built into the fixture: travel time in Istanbul, shift patterns in the industrial belts, the tourism season in Antalya, winter weather in Ankara.
Corporate league formats
| League | Players on court | Recommended squad | Venue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corporate five-a-side (7-a-side) league | 7 | 10–12 | Indoor or outdoor artificial pitch |
| Corporate football league (11-a-side) | 11 | 16–18 | Full-size grass pitch |
| Corporate basketball league | 5 | 8–10 | Indoor hall |
| Corporate volleyball league | 6 | 9–10 | Indoor hall |
| Corporate esports league | Depends on the game | Depends on the game | Online; offices in different cities share one fixture list |
Tennis, padel, pickleball and badminton leagues use player or doubles fixtures instead of team fixtures.
League or tournament?
If the goal is a single day of energy, a corporate tournament (for example a corporate five-a-side tournament) fits better. If the goal is a shared topic that runs for weeks and a regular exercise habit, a league is the right format.
Frequently asked questions
Can a visiting team join a league?
No — a league runs over several weeks on a fixed evening, so it only works for staff based in Turkey. If your team is visiting, a one-day tournament gives the same competitive structure without the ongoing commitment.
We have a Turkish office. How do we start?
The practical starting point is squad size, not sport. If you can gather ten to twelve people per team, seven-a-side football works. Eight to ten makes basketball or volleyball viable. Below that, an internal department league in volleyball is usually the most realistic first step.
Is there a format that works across countries?
E-sports. It is the one league format where geography is irrelevant — offices in different countries share a single fixture list and play online, with a broadcast finals day. Companies often run it alongside a physical league rather than instead of one.
Which cities do you cover?
Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Kocaeli. Each has its own scheduling constraint built into the fixture — traffic in Istanbul, shift patterns in the industrial areas, the tourism season in Antalya.
Who provides referees and insurance?
Referees, on-site first aid and an ambulance access plan are part of the organisation. Personal accident insurance cover can be included in the setup; this is agreed in writing before the league starts, along with the rule that participation is voluntary and outside working hours.
