A corporate five-a-side league built around the shift patterns of heavy industry and petrochemical plants: on-site pitches and a safety-compliant structure.
Kocaeli is one of Turkey's densest industrial basins, and it has two defining characteristics for a corporate league: companies are very close to one another and the working pattern is predominantly shift based. The first makes the league easy to form; the second is the hardest part of the fixture.
This page covers how the league is set up in Kocaeli. For the format, squad sizes and match rules, see our corporate five-a-side league page.
Kocaeli is where a large share of international petrochemical, chemical and heavy manufacturing groups run their Turkish plants, and this page is written with that reader in mind. Two things tend to matter to them more than to a local company: the occupational safety framework has to be documented rather than assumed, because a group HSE function will ask; and the on-site pitch option removes the travel and gate-access problems that otherwise make any off-site activity difficult at a controlled facility. Both are covered below.
The Gebze-Dilovası line, the Körfez-Derince area and central İzmit each have sufficient density on their own. Travelling between these three is possible via the D-100 and the TEM, but traffic intensifies at the end of the working day; leagues are therefore formed within a region by preference and merged for the final week.
A significant proportion of the large facilities in Kocaeli have social facilities and a pitch. Using them both eliminates travel time and reduces cost; when hosting is shared in rotation between teams, the league acquires its own away-fixture structure.
Throughout the competition, occupational health and safety (OHS) standards are rigorously enforced. Matches are hosted exclusively in professional athletic facilities featuring shock-absorbing flooring, climate control, and certified lighting. To eliminate workplace disputes, all games are officiated by independent, licensed federation referees and official scoring table judges. A certified on-site emergency first-aid responder is stationed throughout all fixtures, with health clearance forms systematically verified.
Tournament structures adapt to your headcount. For teams of 20–50 participants, intensive single-day corporate cup formats build high-energy camaraderie. For enterprises of 100–500+ employees, season leagues spanning multiple weeks sustain cross-departmental engagement. Spectator cheering awards, halftime skill challenges, and weekly internal newsletter recaps ensure comprehensive inclusion.
All tournaments are delivered under our official TÜRSAB Group A-12558 licensed travel agency accreditation with transparent corporate contracts. Upon providing your team size, target location, and preferred calendar, we deliver your official line-item RFP proposal within 24 hours. Direct corporate billing in USD, EUR, or TRY is supported for multinational procurement desks.
Two solutions are used. The match day is moved week to week so each shift reaches an equal number of matches across the season; or each shift group fields its own team and the fixture is built by shift. The second is easier to apply in a league inside a single facility.
Yes, and it is recommended. The pitch is added to the league calendar once dimensions, surface and lighting are checked. On-site use complies with the operator's occupational health and safety procedures and emergency plan, and an entry procedure for visiting teams is planned in advance.
They can, but because of evening traffic, regional groups with a shared final week are a more sustainable structure. If four teams can be gathered in each area, a two-group structure is formed.
That the organisation is outside working hours and voluntary is defined in writing on the participation form. Personal accident insurance cover can be included; this is commonly requested by heavy industry participants and is clarified in the league contract.
It depends on the league rules. The common practice is to accept subcontractor staff who work regularly at the facility. The rule is shared with all teams at the start of the league and does not change during the season.
