A corporate adaptation of the traditional Turkish equestrian sport: a professional display, cultural narration, and a ground-level throwing attempt for participants.
A corporate adaptation of the traditional Turkish equestrian sport: a professional display, cultural narration, and a ground-level throwing attempt for participants.
Cirit, known in English as jereed, is a traditional Turkish equestrian sport in which a rider at full gallop throws a blunt stick at a rider from the opposing team. In a corporate programme participants do not play cirit — it is a sport requiring years of training and carrying real risk. The programme instead consists of three parts.
This is one of the strongest options on our list for a company hosting visitors from abroad, or for a programme looking for genuine cultural content rather than a themed dinner. It is specific to Turkey, visually striking, and has a story to tell — three things that are hard to find together. Narration is delivered in English. It also asks no physical performance of the participant, which makes it completely inclusive in terms of age and fitness, and therefore safe to put in front of a senior group or a mixed client-and-staff audience where you cannot ask people to change clothes.
The display itself is a 45 to 60 minute block. It is usually combined at the same facility with a horse riding experience, archery, or traditional game stations to build a half-day programme. Pairing it with traditional archery is the combination most requested by companies hosting international visitors, because the two share a cultural thread.
The spectator area is set at a safe distance from the field and separated by barriers. At no stage do participants throw cirit from horseback. The ground-level throwing attempt uses light, soft-tipped practice sticks under supervision.
Employee safety is paramount across all our team building and sports experience operations. All technical gear (including CE and UIAA-certified helmets, harnesses, life vests, radios, or racing systems) meets stringent international safety benchmarks. Courses are facilitated by licensed instructors, federation trainers, and certified outdoor guides. Prior to activity commencement, comprehensive safety briefings are delivered, with certified first-aid paramedics stationed on site.
Every program is tailored to your team's age profile, physical readiness, and strategic objectives (such as cross-silo trust, problem solving, or decompression). Progressive difficulty tracks ensure even first-time beginners participate with confidence. Accommodating intimate executive offsites of 15 leaders up to company-wide festivals of 300+ delegates, simultaneous squad rotations guarantee seamless engagement.
All operations are backed by our TÜRSAB Group A-12558 licensed corporate travel agency accreditation. Share your expected headcount, date window, and add-on preferences (executive VIP shuttles, outdoor banquets, or luxury resort accommodation), and we deliver your official formal proposal within 24 hours. Direct corporate billing is supported in USD, EUR, or TRY for global clients.
No. Cirit is played at full gallop on horseback and requires years of training; participants do not play it at a corporate event. The participation section is limited to a ground-level throwing attempt at a target and meeting the horses from the ground.
It is particularly suitable. It is one of the few activities that is specific to Turkey, visually striking and backed by a historical story worth telling. Narration can be delivered in English, and it is a common choice for companies hosting visiting colleagues or clients.
The display and narration block runs 45 to 60 minutes. A half-day programme is built by adding horse riding, archery or traditional game stations at the same facility. On its own it is a component rather than a full programme.
No. The programme is spectator-led and completely inclusive in terms of age, fitness and mobility. Those who wish to can join the ground-level throwing attempt. This makes it a safe choice for a senior audience or a mixed staff-and-client group.
