Corporate Go-Kart and Karting Race
A timed circuit race: no licence required, producing a ranking that nobody can argue with.

Karting produces the clearest result of any corporate event format. The clock does not lie: lap times are measured to the thousandth of a second and the ranking is not open to debate. In competitive corporate groups that clarity is the most sought-after feature of the format.
Participants who have driven a kart before are noticeably quicker in the opening laps, but the gap closes with practice. Most circuits keep kart engines at equal power; what decides the result is the braking point and the cornering line, and both are learned within a few laps. The team format also balances out individual differences, which is why it is the right choice for a mixed group.
It needs no common language beyond a briefing, no fitness, no change of clothes beyond closed shoes, and it produces a leaderboard people talk about for the rest of the trip. Indoor circuits are unaffected by weather, so it is one of the very few competitive activities that can be scheduled months ahead with near-zero cancellation risk — useful when flights are already booked.
Helmets are mandatory and provided by the facility; long hair is tied back and scarves and loose accessories are removed. Marshals manage the race with a flag system. Closed shoes are required. Not recommended for people with cardiovascular conditions, neck or back problems, or those who are pregnant.
Indoor circuits are unaffected by weather and can be used year round, with shorter lap times. Outdoor circuits are longer and faster but are affected by rain. For corporate groups, indoor circuits are chosen more often for predictability.

No. Go-kart circuits do not require a driving licence; after a short briefing and practice laps the race begins. Age and height limits are set by the facility.
In the opening laps yes, but the gap closes markedly with practice. The braking point and cornering line are learned within a few laps. The team relay format balances individual differences further, which is why it is the usual choice for a mixed group.
It depends on circuit capacity; typically 8-12 karts are on track at a time. A group of 60 races in sessions and the rankings are combined at the end of all sessions.
Not recommended for people with cardiovascular conditions, neck or back problems, or those who are pregnant. Karts have stiff suspension and vibration from the track surface is significant.
