A corporate running event that opens the season: 5K and 10K lanes, timed results, and a walking lane open to everyone.
The spring opening run is the event that starts the company's sports calendar. The decision at the centre of the design is this: not one distance but three lanes. The 10K for experienced runners, the 5K for regular runners, and a walking lane for colleagues who do not run at all.
In single-distance corporate runs, participation stays limited to the small group who already exercise regularly. The walking lane reverses that picture: the employee who assumes they cannot run signs up, collects their medal and becomes part of the event. A significant share of total participation in corporate runs usually comes from this lane.
Running is the easiest corporate sport to hold on the same day in several countries at once, because it needs no opponent. Where a group already runs a global step or distance challenge, the Turkey site's event can be built to feed the same leaderboard — same date, same distances, same medal, results reported into whatever platform the group uses. It is one of very few formats where a local event and a global programme genuinely connect rather than merely coexist.
Late March to May is the best period for running across most of Turkey: temperatures are mild and the days have lengthened. Morning slots are preferred.
In large-scale corporate events, occupational health and safety (OHS), crowd dynamics, and perimeter security are managed turn-key. Site ground assessments, emergency egress routes, and stable power infrastructure are audited by veteran event directors. Throughout the gathering, dedicated ambulances, certified first-aid medical teams, and event safety marshals remain stationed on site.
From intimate 50-person department retreats to 1,000+ employee company festivals, event flows follow precise minute-by-minute schedules. While athletic colleagues compete in high-energy sports challenges, employees seeking relaxation enjoy live music, lawn games, and wellness stations—fostering 100% company-wide engagement.

The walking lane exists precisely for this. They walk the same route at their own pace and everyone who finishes receives the same medal. A significant share of participation in corporate runs comes from this lane.
Closed coastal and park routes, closed-circuit campus areas, or short routes with municipal permission. Safety marshals and route marking are part of the organisation.
Yes; the standard setup uses stopwatch timing with prizes for the first three. Chip timing can be planned on request and gives more accurate results for large fields — useful if the result feeds a group-wide leaderboard.
A health declaration is taken at registration, a first aid team and ambulance are on the route, a water station is set up and a group warm-up is built into the programme. Participants with cardiovascular conditions are asked to obtain medical clearance.
