Five-a-side futsal on a wooden court: an indoor hall, a calendar independent of the weather, and short high-tempo matches.
Futsal is not the indoor equivalent of five-a-side; it is a separate sport with its own rules and its own character. A wooden court, a smaller and heavier ball, kick-ins instead of throw-ins, and different goalkeeper rules — together they produce a much faster tempo.
Two practical consequences. First, matches are short: 2 x 20 minutes is standard and a large number of matches can be played in one hall in a day, which makes a single-day tournament possible. Second, because the game is indoors, weather cannot disrupt the calendar — the biggest risk in winter outdoor organisation disappears.
Unlike the leagues on the neighbouring pages, this is a tournament: it happens on one day and it finishes. That makes it the football format a group travelling into Turkey can actually enter, and the one to choose when a regional gathering wants a competitive day indoors in the winter months. Everything is at the hall; nothing depends on the sky.
A wooden court is a different load for players used to artificial turf: it needs non-marking soles and increases knee and ankle load on sudden turns. Information about indoor shoes is therefore sent to participants before the tournament and a warm-up section is built into the programme. Studded boots are never used.
Throughout the competition, occupational health and safety (OHS) standards are rigorously enforced. Matches are hosted exclusively in professional athletic facilities featuring shock-absorbing flooring, climate control, and certified lighting. To eliminate workplace disputes, all games are officiated by independent, licensed federation referees and official scoring table judges. A certified on-site emergency first-aid responder is stationed throughout all fixtures, with health clearance forms systematically verified.
Tournament structures adapt to your headcount. For teams of 20–50 participants, intensive single-day corporate cup formats build high-energy camaraderie. For enterprises of 100–500+ employees, season leagues spanning multiple weeks sustain cross-departmental engagement. Spectator cheering awards, halftime skill challenges, and weekly internal newsletter recaps ensure comprehensive inclusion.
All tournaments are delivered under our official TÜRSAB Group A-12558 licensed travel agency accreditation with transparent corporate contracts. Upon providing your team size, target location, and preferred calendar, we deliver your official line-item RFP proposal within 24 hours. No. Futsal is played on a wooden court with a smaller, less bouncy ball in a five-a-side format; there is no throw-in, play restarts from the touchline, and the goalkeeper rules are different. Five-a-side is played on synthetic turf, usually seven-a-side and with more local rules.
They can, but the tempo is higher than five-a-side. Corporate tournaments make participation easier through unlimited substitutions and shortened matches. Not skipping the warm-up section is important.
A six to eight team tournament completes comfortably in one hall in a day. For larger numbers two halls or two days are planned. The group-plus-knockout structure guarantees every team at least three matches.
Yes. Non-marking, non-slip indoor shoes are required on a wooden court; studded and artificial-turf boots damage the floor and create injury risk. This information is sent to participants with the invitation — particularly important for anyone travelling in.
Yes. Futsal's small court and short matches make balancing a mixed team easier than on a five-a-side pitch. A mixed rule requiring at least one woman on court is applied on request.
