Two realities shape a corporate league in Ankara: the city's employment is concentrated on specific axes and the winter is hard. Both affect the fixture directly.
This page covers how the league is set up in Ankara. For the format, squad sizes and match rules, see our corporate five-a-side league page.
Employment density in Ankara does not spread across a wide area as it does in Istanbul; technology companies gather around the METU and Bilkent technoparks, the defence industry along the İvedik and Kahramankazan line, and public institutions on the Çankaya-Kızılay axis. That is an advantage for a league: when companies on the same axis cluster around a single pitch, travel time drops below 20 minutes and attendance stays high.
Ankara's corporate population is weighted towards public institutions, defence and technoparks rather than the regional headquarters found in Istanbul. If your Turkish presence here is an engineering or R&D office inside a technopark, the practical consequence is favourable: the companies around you are within walking distance, the working day finishes at a predictable hour, and a league formed inside one campus needs almost no travel planning at all.
Between December and February, snow and frost create a real postponement risk on open pitches in Ankara. Year-round leagues therefore plan the winter months on covered pitches or compress the season into March to November. An accumulation of postponements is the most common cause of death for a league; the calendar is built around that from the start.
Single-group leagues of six to eight teams are the most common structure in Ankara; the city is not spread out enough to require two regional groups. Above ten teams a two-group plus play-off structure is used.
Throughout the competition, occupational health and safety (OHS) standards are rigorously enforced. Matches are hosted exclusively in professional athletic facilities featuring shock-absorbing flooring, climate control, and certified lighting. To eliminate workplace disputes, all games are officiated by independent, licensed federation referees and official scoring table judges. A certified on-site emergency first-aid responder is stationed throughout all fixtures, with health clearance forms systematically verified.
Tournament structures adapt to your headcount. For teams of 20–50 participants, intensive single-day corporate cup formats build high-energy camaraderie. For enterprises of 100–500+ employees, season leagues spanning multiple weeks sustain cross-departmental engagement. Spectator cheering awards, halftime skill challenges, and weekly internal newsletter recaps ensure comprehensive inclusion.
All tournaments are delivered under our official TÜRSAB Group A-12558 licensed travel agency accreditation with transparent corporate contracts. Upon providing your team size, target location, and preferred calendar, we deliver your official line-item RFP proposal within 24 hours. Direct corporate billing in USD, EUR, or TRY is supported for multinational procurement desks.
It is designed not to. December to February is planned with covered pitch slots; where covered pitches cannot be found, the season is compressed into March to November. The decision is taken before the league starts, because changing pitch type mid-season makes slots hard to find.
Where technopark density is sufficient, forming a group within it is the most efficient solution; for companies on the same campus, travel to the pitch drops to a few minutes. Around METU and Bilkent that density is generally enough to produce four to six teams.
Yes. Weekend afternoon slots or early evening slots matching shift finishing times are planned for industrial zone and defence companies. The shift cycle is collected at the start of the league and the fixture built accordingly.
Four is the lower limit and six to eight is the ideal range. An eight-team single-round league runs seven weeks with seven matches per team; that is the scale corporate participation sustains most comfortably.
Regular fixture attendance is not realistic because of travel. The solution for branches is a single-day internal tournament at the end of the season, or running the esports league in parallel, which supports remote participation.
