Wading through ice-cold water inside a gorge near Fethiye: narrow walls, a short route, and no equipment needed.
Saklıkent is a narrow gorge near Fethiye with walls rising in places to hundreds of metres. Its place in corporate adventure programmes is clear: it delivers a short experience that is physically memorable without requiring any technical skill.
The route follows the stream bed along the gorge floor. Participants walk into the water in their shoes, wading through cold water that rises in places to knee or waist height, over slippery stones. Because the water is mountain-fed it is noticeably cold even in midsummer — which in the July and August heat is the part people talk about most.
Fethiye is served by Dalaman airport, which has direct international flights through the summer season. That makes this region genuinely reachable for a European team planning a two or three day offsite, and Saklıkent is the low-commitment adventure element in a programme that is otherwise sea-and-resort based. Guiding is available in English. It is also one of the few activities here that works for a group with a very wide age and fitness range, because the route can simply be walked for as long as each person wants and turned around.
Visited between April and October. In spring, when the water level is high, the inner sections of the gorge may be closed and the route shortens. In summer the level drops and it is possible to go further in. Current conditions are confirmed before the programme — this is not a route whose length can be promised months in advance.
Employee safety is paramount across all our team building and sports experience operations. All technical gear (including CE and UIAA-certified helmets, harnesses, life vests, radios, or racing systems) meets stringent international safety benchmarks. Courses are facilitated by licensed instructors, federation trainers, and certified outdoor guides. Prior to activity commencement, comprehensive safety briefings are delivered, with certified first-aid paramedics stationed on site.
Every program is tailored to your team's age profile, physical readiness, and strategic objectives (such as cross-silo trust, problem solving, or decompression). Progressive difficulty tracks ensure even first-time beginners participate with confidence. Accommodating intimate executive offsites of 15 leaders up to company-wide festivals of 300+ delegates, simultaneous squad rotations guarantee seamless engagement.
All operations are backed by our TÜRSAB Group A-12558 licensed corporate travel agency accreditation. Share your expected headcount, date window, and add-on preferences (executive VIP shuttles, outdoor banquets, or luxury resort accommodation), and we deliver your official formal proposal within 24 hours. Direct corporate billing is supported in USD, EUR, or TRY for global clients.
Saklıkent is a gorge. The walls are very steep and in places very close together, which gives it a cave-like feeling, but the route runs through a narrow cleft under open sky rather than inside an enclosed cave system. Nobody goes underground.
Because it is mountain-fed it is noticeably cold even in midsummer. For most participants that is the most enjoyable part of the activity on a hot day. For participants sensitive to cold the route can be shortened, and turning back early is a normal outcome rather than a problem.
Non-slip shoes that can get wet are the critical item; flip-flops and sandals are not suitable. A change of clothes and a towel are recommended. Waterproof pouches are provided for valuables. Send this to participants before travel, because it affects what they pack rather than what they wear on the day.
On the standard route the water depth generally does not exceed waist height and swimming is not required. When water levels are high the route is shortened. Guide accompaniment and group order are maintained throughout in all conditions.
