Swing was born in the jazz clubs of the 1930s and 40s, and its most distinctive feature among partner dances is the bounce. Where Latin dances put the accent in the hips, here a light spring comes from the knees; it changes the character of the movement entirely and makes the dance markedly cheerful.
Swing is a partner dance, but the hold usually runs through a single hand and there is a wide distance between partners — most figures are built on opening out and turning. There is no close contact. The music itself is energetic and familiar, so participants immediately sense they are in a playful rather than a romantic context. Combine the two and the hesitation threshold drops.
If a partner dance is wanted for a mixed international group, this is the one that asks least of anyone. One hand, arm's length, no close hold, and music that signals fun rather than intimacy — so the invitation is easy to write and the room is easy to read. It also has a genuine advantage the other partner dances do not: a section of solo jazz steps done as a group, so anyone who would rather not be paired at all has a full role in the same workshop rather than sitting out.
Swing sits naturally with retro-themed corporate events: a year-end gala, a founding anniversary, a 1920s to 1940s themed invitation. The workshop can be built as a 45-minute section opening the evening, with free dancing continuing afterwards.
Our training curricula are structured around scientific movement mechanics, ergonomics, and safe posture development without overexerting corporate employees. Sessions are led by national athletes, federation-certified senior coaches, and sports physiotherapists. Facility hygiene, proper ventilation, surface safety, and first-aid measures are comprehensively maintained.
Timings integrate seamlessly with your company calendar: pre-shift morning awakenings, lunchtime mobility breaks, or post-work weekly sports club sessions. Programs can be held directly inside your corporate campus or at contracted top-tier athletic centers near your office. Differentiated beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracks ensure everyone progresses comfortably.
All training operations are governed by our TÜRSAB Group A-12558 corporate travel agency credentials and corporate service agreements. Upon receiving your employee headcount and desired frequency, we provide your line-item RFP proposal within 24 hours. Direct invoicing is available in USD, EUR, or TRY for global enterprises.
Not in a corporate workshop. The lifts and jumps known from films are advanced and are not included. The work stays at ground level and is limited to the basic step and turns.
No. Partner rotation is applied. The programme also includes a section of solo jazz steps, in which participants who do not want to dance with a partner take a full part rather than sitting out.
None. Most swing figures are done with a one-hand hold and a wide distance between partners, with the emphasis on opening out and turning. That makes it the easiest partner dance to put in front of a group you do not know well.
The tempo is livelier than the Latin dances and involves a bouncing movement; it counts as a moderate activity. The bounce is softened for participants with knee conditions.
